Reaching out with Christ’s love to serve and grow through early childhood education.

Our Philosophy

The purpose of St. Paul Lutheran Preschool is to reach out with Christ's love to serve children and their families.

With this in mind, we further define our purpose as educating children and families through the love and teaching of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We are committed to Christian Education by providing all the essentials to those we reach in order to train the whole child. We do this by identifying the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs with the use of age appropriate learning and interactive play.

The philosophy is based on God's promise given to us in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Our Curriculum

Kindergarten follows the Indiana Academic Standards.

Our commitment is to nurture children's spiritual growth and their love of learning. Dedicated Staff and educated teachers provide a warm, Christian environment, while our small class sizes and developmentally appropriate curriculum help prepare children for the next steps in their education. Our half day Kindergarten includes:

Daily Jesus Time where children learn about their Savoir, Jesus. Bible stories, prayer,  discipleship and praise through singing are incorporated into lessons.

Weekly Music classes led by our Kantor (Minister of Music). They are taught rhythms, note values and music appreciation.

A Minds in Motion maze is conducted daily. Children begin their day in our maze of activities to stimulate their vestibular system and prepare them for the day's learning. The maze changes monthly.

Language Arts: phonemics, reading, literature, grammar and writing.

Mathematics: Number sense, addition, subtractions, two and three dimensional shapes and number recognition.
